¡Tango Otra Vez! means "Tango Again!". The name was created to capture the feeling of longing for tango whether it's the music, the embrace, the connection, or the joy of sharing a dance that makes it so special. It reflects a feeling familiar to tango dancers around the world, the anticipation of the next tanda, the next milonga, and the opportunity to step onto the dance floor and experience that magic once more.

THE MEANING OF
It began with three passionate friends who met regularly at the Auckland Art Gallery Amphitheatre to dance, practice, and share their love of Argentine Tango. In mid 2016, inspired by their enjoyment of dancing together, the youngest of the three encouraged the other two to teach at his university. This led to the founding of the Argentine Tango Student Association at the Auckland University of Technology, creating a platform where students from across Auckland could learn, practice, and share tango in the same spirit of friendship and community. Every Friday night, Tango came alive in the university studio. When the youngest founder departed for Europe, the remaining two continued teaching at what is now Pasión Por Tango Studio. In August 2020, with the help of an Argentine friend, the name ¡Tango Otra Vez! was born. Today, ¡Tango Otra Vez! continues under the guidance of the remaining founder Kelly Poon, carrying forward a passion for authentic Argentine Tango, community, connection, and the culture of Buenos Aires. The vision remains the same: to share the richness and authenticity of Argentine Tango, nurture a vibrant tango community, and provide a welcoming space where people can learn, connect, inspire one another, and enjoy the journey of tango together.
